From my aprt on Avondale Rd., I drove to Luke McRedmond Landing. This area leads right up to the Sammamish River Trail. As an aside; I pronounced "Sammamish" wrongly and Americans didn't understand me initially. The wrong pronounciation is "Sa-ma-mish". Strangers corrected me & I learned to pronounced it as "se-me-mish".
This trail joins up with the Burke-Gilman trail but I
ain't running that far this morning on an empty stomach. Following are some pictures along
the trail which I took. Click on the images below to zoom in. |

As I came down a hill; the trail was surrounded by leaf-less trees and the ground was awashed in dead autumn leaves. Better watch those steps!
Every runner likes a perspective shot of a lonely road in the countryside. This is a **NOT** very good photo but I had to stand in the middle of the road to take this.
This landscape totally baffled me. (Remember how the 2 Dome structures in X-Files the movie baffled the 2 protoganists) It is basically a vast expanse of green grass with a shallow lake in the middle; occupied by many birds.
A color version. You MUST click on this to enjoy its spendour!!
The token tree trunk. | |
This is probably the best picture of the lot. I tried very hard to capture the reflection of the elusive Seattle Sun on the stream. CLICK or ye be cursed for a thousand years.
